The 98 Predators fell 3-2 to the North Bay Trappers in the Championship Game of the 2012 Patriots Day Tournament in Niagara Falls New York.
North Bay, currently ranked 8th at 98 AA in Ontario, scored on a power play late in the 3rd period to break a 2-2 tie. The Predators came close on several late chances. With a penalty called with about 45 seconds left in the game the Predators pulled their goalie for a 6 on 4 man advantage. The Trappers were able to hold off the Predators and onto the 3-2 win. The Tournament Director later told Coach Shell it was the most exciting game of the tournament.
The weekend included wins over four other 98 AA teams; Cleveland Heights 7-1, the Niagara Junior Purple Eagles 6-5, the Hamburg Hawks 2-1 and the Rochester Americans (Blue) 4-1.

The 98 Predators defeated the 97 Predators 2 to 1 in a close and exciting Championship game to win the banner. Both teams played very well and earned the others respect.
The 98's weekend included wins against the Artic Foxes 6-1, the 97 Predators 4-2 and the Tri-City Eagles 5-3.
